Site relaunch/redesign.

CSS-based, PHP/MySQL-driven.

More than a mere relaunch, this latest version of design by miles dot com represents the beginning of an entirely new phase in a mutli-disciplined design career. From multimedia cd-rom design to web design, motion graphic design to print, Los Angeles to San Diego and back again, the period spanning from 2000 to 2005 has been quite a ride.

To say creating semantic, CSS-based web sites has taken the web design world by storm within the last two years or so would be an understatement. Following this shift in philosophy and ideals, this new version of design by miles dot com is laid out entirely in CSS, is powered by MySQL, and uses PHP to dynamically serve up pages. Primarily a web designer, but also at home in the world of broadcast motion graphics as well as print, I pride myself on being a sort of design/programming (70/30) hybrid. The creation of this site, in a way, embodies this redefinition of my skill set.

At its core, design by miles dot com represents a creative, professional journey across different projects/media for a diverse set of clients.
